I, You and Fate

I was sitting in my hostel room, studying for my last semester exams starting next morning, when my cell phone rang. It was a female voice from other end. I hung up the call in few minutes, threw the phone in frustration and fell on the bed motionless and lost. I opened the wardrobe and took out a packet with some letters in it. With shivering hands I opened one letter and started reading it. I don’t know how many times I read those five letters in next few hours. Millions of tear drops rolled from my eyes while I was continuously looking at the ceiling. Every single second of last few months flashed in front of my eyes……

Yet Another Journey

My train was scheduled to reach Warangal at morning 9 and it was running 1 hour late already. I made some calculations that even I sleep at 4, I will get 6 hours of sleep before getting down and continued the text exchange till 4. But as per AC boy, train did some kind of makeup in night while I was sleeping and reached Warangal at 8:45. Good thing was, I got a connecting train for Hyderabad at 9. Compartments were looking like certificate of India’s 2nd position in population and that was the last train….

Onsite Travel and a Refrigerator!!!

Onsite travel is not a big thing in IT industry. Daily hundreds of IT professionals fly overseas on various roles. This is very much common that there is nothing special to write a complete blog on that. But this story is different. This story is of an IT professional travelling onsite to Denmark and a refrigerator. Yes a refrigerator. You must be wondering what a refrigerator has to do with onsite travel. We can understand a role of visa, passport, airline tickets, and hotel bookings but a refrigerator….

We…The Bloody Indians!

Yesterday was Sunday and we get this day after such an exhausting and stressful week. So, I decided to complete all my personal work on this day itself because we remain busy on all other days doing so much of hard work with great efficiency, commitment and honesty. Yes I do get a free Saturday also but I spent that day in sleeping, and I guess I deserve this much of rest after such a difficult week…..

Patriotism???

As per Wikipedia, Patriotism is defined as love and devotion to one’s country. A very simple and straight forward definition, yet very true. Can we measure Patriotism??? Several surveys have tried to do this for various reasons. The Patriotism Score table below is from the World Values Survey and refers to the average answer from high income residents of a country (I don’t understand the reason behind conducting surveys only to this population) to the question: “Are you proud to be [nationality]?”….

Why doesn’t it rain on the SUN?

“I lied to you….”, I think I should tell her, at least now, why we are going to Korukonda village in Andhra. The bus stopped, as few more passengers are getting in.

“Please don’t scare me Kiran. Tell me clearly”

I waited for the bus to start and then..

“I never thought an unanswered question can disturb a person so much. Is it because a girl asked me that question or is it because she…”

Riding on Satyam Track

No one else can understand the exact feeling of a Satyam employee at this point of time. Especially the feeling of an employee, who has started his/her career just one year back or so with Satyam as first company. What’s going next to Satyam? Will there be any layoffs after acquisition? Will i survive? What if i will lose my job? Where is my fault if Company’s CEO has done any scam? Many such questions must be going through his/her mind all the time. Whom to believe? Satyam or Media?……

Pondicherry is ON -:)

For the 28-29th March weekend, I suggested my roommates to have a ride all the way to Pondicherry and take a sip of Jack Denials. My proposal went accepted with no dispute. I along with Harsh, Uttkarsh and Kedar left our home at sharp 9 o’clock in the morning and headed towards Pondicherry for the best holy drink. I guess weather was also as much excited as we. It was not a trademark Chennai weather, burning like an oven. We were riding on East Coast Road (ECR)……

Princess of Delhi-6

Aditi Rao Hydari is not a familiar name. In fact, most of us saw her for the first time in Delhi-6. Aditi is a commerce graduate from Lady Sriram College and has completed her schooling from Rishi Valley, a school near Bangalore that imbibes the teachings of philosopher J Krishnamurthy. The young actress is married to a former bureaucrat-turned-lawyer-turned-aspiring actor Satyadeep. Having migrated from Delhi the two spend their days auditioning for roles. They stay in a cozy apartment in Versova…..
